Description
Brora 37 Year Old, bottled in 2015 as the 14th Release, is one of the rare official bottlings from the distillery’s long silent era. It forms part of the well-known sequence of annual Brora releases that ran from 2002 to 2017, a series of 16 editions in total. This 2015 release comes entirely from spirit distilled before the 1983 closure and was issued in 2,976 bottles. In style it reflects the mature, composed character of late-era Brora: gently integrated peat smoke, maritime influence, a subtle waxy texture, clear structure and an overall dry, elegant profile shaped by long ageing. Within the series, the 37-year-old stands as a serious and quietly expressive representation of classic Brora and is regarded as one of the rarer and more significant editions from this period.
