Description
Auchroisk 1989 24 Year Old, bottled by Cadenhead from a sherry cask, is a Speyside whisky shaped as much by time as by wood. Distilled in 1989 and left to mature for twenty-four years, it shows how this often understated distillery gains depth, breadth and a more serious presence with long ageing. The sherry cask adds weight, warmth and a darker tone, bringing dried fruit character, gentle sweetness and nuttier elements, while the core remains structured and malty. The result feels measured rather than forceful, with a composed, slightly drier finish. With only 504 bottles released, it captures a focused moment of mature Auchroisk in a clearly defined sherry style.
