Description
Ardbeg 1973, bottled at 27 years by Kingsbury, comes from a period of the distillery that is highly respected and increasingly difficult to experience today. This release is notably rare, with only 228 bottles produced, giving it a clear collectible status as well as historical importance. The whisky reflects mature Islay character, where peat smoke has become deep and well integrated rather than aggressive, supported by maritime influence, warmth and a composed structure shaped by long ageing. Much of its appeal lies in the combination of vintage, age, bottler reputation and scarcity, making it a significant and highly desirable Ardbeg from an era that cannot be repeated.
