Foursquare Patrimonio is a distinguished release from the celebrated collaboration between Foursquare in Barbados and Velier in Italy, a partnership that has redefined the standard for exceptional rum. Distilled in 2004, it matured for ten years in ex-bourbon casks followed by a further four years in sherry wood, before being bottled in 2019 at a natural strength of 58 percent. This fourteen-year ageing gives Patrimonio remarkable depth, where layers of dried fruits, raisins and figs from the sherry influence are seamlessly woven with vanilla, coconut and warm spice from the bourbon cask. As with all Velier bottlings, Patrimonio was produced in limited numbers, making it both collectible and highly sought after. It stands as a fine example of the single blended style pioneered by Foursquare, marrying pot and column distillation in a whisky-like balance of richness and precision.
