Description
Compass Box This Is Not A Festival Whisky was released in 2020, a year when whisky festivals across the world were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally intended to be a festival-exclusive bottling, the name was changed in a tongue-in-cheek nod to the circumstances, perfectly capturing Compass Box’s playful and creative spirit.
The whisky is a blended malt, composed of parcels from Caol Ila, Teaninich and Glen Elgin, each selected to bring a distinctive layer to the final profile. Bottled at 48.9 percent, it delivers bright orchard fruit and citrus notes from the Speyside malts, gentle vanilla and honeyed sweetness from the Highland component, and a thread of coastal smoke from Caol Ila that ties it all together. Limited in release and tied to an unforgettable moment in recent history, This Is Not A Festival Whisky stands as both a delicious dram and a collectible piece of whisky storytelling.
