Ardbeg 1990 10 Year Old, bottled by Douglas Laing for the Old Malt Cask series, is an independent release from a transitional period in the distillery’s history. Distilled in 1990 and matured for ten years, this whisky comes from a time before Ardbeg’s modern revival, when the style was less defined and more spirit-driven. Peat smoke is present but not dominant, allowing coastal notes, light citrus and a mineral edge to show clearly. The oak influence is modest, giving structure without weight.
